My DIY origami and bead decoration kits...

I love origami....not just the way it looks, but also the traditions behind the art form and the therapeutic action of folding. I love creating something tangible out of a flat piece of paper.
As much as I like the vast arrays of shapes you can create with paper folding, I adore the geometric ones the most, so I decided to make some geo-origami decorations for the Christmas tree this year....

Now I know I usually post my tutorials for my various makes here for free, but I also know that a lot of people are slightly apprehensive of Origami....thinking it is going to be very tricky to achieve. And also there is the issue of getting all the stuff together to make these....especially now , so close to christmas...

So, I've actually put together some DIY kits that you can buy from my facebook site, to make it easier for you to make these if you fancy having a go....

For just £10 + postage I'll send you out these pre-assembled kits with templates to make 6 Origami decorations, as pictured above....

The templates are ready to be cut out and simply folded , and will make up to 4 different shapes...
The kits also include The wooden beads and the thread, in your choice of colour (I have loads to choose from, so simply message me with your preference, and I am sure I've got something to suit)

And an easy to follow instruction booklet...

If you would like to try origami for the first time, this is an easy way to start your new love affair with origami!

Visit my facebook page and inbox me if you would like to buy one of these kits, and I will send you out one ASAP....but do hurry if you'd like to make these in time for Christmas....
Although, I think these are nice all year round....

And if you should find yourself in the London area this Thursday, you can catch  an exclusive, free workshop event at the Laura Lea Design boutique  in Leytonstone and learn how to make these with the amazingly talented Stacie of Two for joy:

Due to my personal situation at the moment, I can unfortunately not be there myself, but I am sure the workshop will be loads of fun in the most capable hands of Stacie, and you get to take home your very own Origami decoration free of charge....

Plus, of course, you can purchase my DIY origami and bead kits in store, along with loads of other beautiful design in Laura's shop....perfect for any Last minute Christmas pressies, thus supporting local artists and designers in the making!!
